A Rabbi intrigued his congregation each week on the eve of the Sabbath. He disappeared then weekly. They thought he might be spending that time alone in meditation, and ascending into Heaven.
The congregation assigned one of its number to follow him one Sabbath eve. This is what the man saw. The Rabbi disguised himself in peasant clothing and served a paralyzed woman in her cottage. He cleaned out her cottage and prepared her a Sabbath meal.
When the spy got back, the congregation inquired: “Where did the Rabbi go?” and “Was the Rabbi in deep meditation with the Almighty?” And, “Did our Rabbi ascend to Heaven?”
The man replied. He said, “No, our Rabbi did not ascend to Heaven. He ascended even higher.”

Be Her Music
with every inhale
with every exhale
Only Grace, Only This Drink
that drives the world mad with Love
How - should I ask?
How can one kiss
such Lips of Kindness
unfurling the petals of the Heart
like a friendly Fragranced Rose
and not be driven crazy
right through this world
into the Arms of G-D?
